Disorder, youths charged

A 16yr old male youth has been charged with Riot, Attempted Criminal Damage, Possession of an article with intent to cause damage to property and Causing a dangerous article to be on a road. He is expected to appear at Belfast Youth Court on 19 July.
A 15yr old male youth has been charged with Riot, Attempted Criminal Damage, Possession of an article with intent to cause damage to property and Causing a dangerous article to be on a road. He is expected to appear at Belfast Youth Court on 2 August.
The charges are understood to be connected to disorder at East Bridge Street on 13 July when a number of cars were damaged by golf balls. As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
