Man assaulted, Lisburn Road

Detectives are investigating following an assault outside a bar on the Lisburn Road shortly before 12.30am this morning. A nearby police patrol was alerted by the sound of breaking glass and made their way to the premises at the junction with Ashley Avenue. Officers found a man in his 30’s with a facial injury.

Four men aged 20, 24, 28 and 49yrs were arrested at the scene and are currently helping police with their enquiries.

The victim was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured cheek bone and facial cuts and bruising. His condition is not believed to be serious.
