Aggravated Burglary Loopland area East Belfast

Detectives in Musgrave Street are investigating an aggravated burglary at the home of an elderly lady in the Loopland area of East Belfast during the early hours of this morning (Wed 23 June).
Sometime before 5am the 86 year old female householder was woken by an unknown male who had entered her bedroom. Two rings were stolen; a gold ring with three diamonds and a gold eternity ring with amethyst and diamonds. The elderly lady was also threatened and assaulted by the burglar before he left the house. The lady was extremely shaken by her ordeal.
