Device thrown, Craigavon

Police are investigating after a pipe bomb-type device was thrown at Brownlow Police Station in County Armagh.

A call was received by a charity at 12.30am on Friday 18 June stating that the device had been thrown but had failed to explode. A search located the device at the rear of the station.

The viable device was then rendered safe by Army Technical Officers. There was no disruption to the local community.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
