Distraction burglary Comber

Detectives from Bangor CID are appealing for information following a distraction burglary of an elderly woman in the Old Forge Court area of Comber yesterday evening (Tues 22 June).
An unknown man called at the home of the 78 year old woman around 3:15pm purporting to be from the Housing Executive and stating that he needed to speak with her about the drainage of her home. When the man left the lady discovered a sum of money had been taken from her handbag.
Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area yesterday or who has any information is asked to contact detectives at Bangor on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
