Serious assault, West Belfast

Detectives in West Belfast are appealing for information about a serious assault at Thames Court.

Shortly before 10pm on Friday 4 May, it was reported that an injured man had been seen in the area. Initial enquiries suggest that he had been assaulted in a nearby house.

A man aged in his 30 was taken to hospital with injuries including a cut to his throat, caused by some type of knife, and a puncture wound to his abdomen. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing.

This was a domestic-type incident.
