Assault and attempted robbery in Ballybeen

Detectives in Castlereagh are appealing for information following the assault and attempted robbery of a 25 year old man in the Ardara Avenue area of Ballybeen last night (Wedesday 10 March).
The delivery man from a local Comber chippy was called to the area on the pretext of a delivery. On arrival he was confronted by three unknown and masked men who attacked him with a baseball bat and iron bar. They demanded money and when they realised he was not carrying any they made off towards the city. The man received treatment in hospital for a fractured arm, cuts and bruises.
