Assault, Newry

Police are appealing for information after two males were assaulted in Newry, County Down.

At around 10pm on Saint Patrick's Day, police responded to a report of a disturbance at commercial premises in the vicinity of Francis Street.

A male in his early 20s and a male in his early thirties were taken to hospital.

The male aged in his early 20s sustained a wound to his abdomen which was not believed to be life-threatening. The male aged in his 30s was released following treatment to for hand wound.

A man aged in his 40s was arrested.
