Car damaged, Strabane

A Vauxhall Vectra car has been damaged as a result of a suspected pipe bomb incident in O’Nolan Park, Strabane, County Tyrone on the morning of Sunday 23 May.
The incident happened shortly after 1am when a device was thrown inside the vehicle. A number of houses had to be evacuated while the vehicle was examined by Army Technical Officers following the explosion. There were no reports of any injuries.
Detectives are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact them at Strabane on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information about crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
