Pipe bomb attack, Dungannon

Detectives in Dungannon are investigating an explosion at a house in Windmill Court shortly before 1am this morning. It is understood that the kitchen window of the property was smashed and a pipe bomb thrown into the kitchen. The device exploded causing substantial damage to the kitchen. There was no one in the house at the time and there are no reports of any injuries.

Army Technical Officers were called and around fifty people were evacuated from their homes until the area was declared safe.
