Shooting incident, Quayside Close, Newry

Detectives in Newry are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Quayside Close area.

Shortly before 10.30pm on Friday, 14 May, a light coloured Renault car turned into Quayside Close from the Omeath direction and pulled up. The driver and passenger exited the vehicle and discharged a number of shots (at least eight) into a nearby car and the window and door of a house. The pair then made off in the car in the direction of Omeath. It is believed a third person was also present in the car.

A 34 year old male, 33 year old female and four year old child were in the house at the time of the incident. No one was injured.
