Two arrested after hijacking, Springfield Parade, West Belfast

Police have arrested two 19 year old males following the hijacking of a car in the Springfield Parade area of West Belfast.

Around 12.45am this morning, 15 May, it was reported that four youths had taken a silver Skoda Superb car and assaulted the driver. The 49 year old man was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries to his eye, throat and leg.

The car was subsequently found crashed in the Glenside Road area shortly before 1am.

The two males arrested are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
