Armed robbery, South Belfast
Police are appealing for information following a robbery at an off-licence on the Upper Lisburn Road, Finaghy on Monday evening. Shortly before 8.30pm three males entered the premises. One of the men was armed with a handgun while another was brandishing a knife. The men took a sum of cash and some alcohol before making off in a grey coloured car.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information to contact detectives at Musgrave Street on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
A 21yr old man was arrested by police a short time later on the Whiterock Road. A car was also recovered for examination. The man remains in custody helping police with their enquiries.
