Device discovered Belfast International Airport

Police investigating a suspicious vehicle at the Belfast International airport have declared the object a viable device which was accompanied by an amount of suspected flammable liquid. The vehicle and its contents have been removed for further forensic examination.
The alert began shortly before 2:30pm yesterday afternoon (Sat 30 Oct) when a vehicle was discovered by airport personnel at the Longstay Carpark and ended around 2am this morning (Sun 31 Oct).
Anyone who noticed the grey coloured Toyota Carina registration number PDZ 2001 in the long stay car park at the airport is asked to contact police at Antrim on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
