Attempted armed robbery Ballysillan Road North Belfast

Police in North Belfast are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery from a convenience store in the Ballysillan Road last night (Fri 10 Sept).

Shortly before 8pm a man entered the shop each armed with a large kitchen knife and threatened staff.  The duty manager defended himself with a fire extinguisher and the assailant made off empty handed.

The robber is described as 6ft tall, of slim build and blonde hair.  He was wearing a brown leather jacket, yellow tee shirt and grey stripe Addidas track suit bottoms.
