Large drugs seizures and cannabis factories uncovered Banbridge

Detectives from the Tactical Crime unit in Banbridge have seized an estimated £35k worth of herbal cannabis following the search of a vehicle on the Castlewellan road and a property in the Keady area last night (Fri 10 Sept). Around 66 cannabis plants were also seized along with a sum of money and an air rifle. A 28 year old man was arrested for possession of a Class B drug.
And in a second unrelated incident Detectives from the Tactical Crime unit in Banbridge uncovered a further cannabis factory during a search of a property in the Carnpark Road area of Katesbridge. Around 400 cannabis plants worth an estimated street value of £200k and drug making paraphernalia were also seized. A second man aged 31 was arrested for cultivation of a class B drug.

A 28 year old man has been charged with a number of drugs offences and will appear at the Banbridge sitting at Newry Magistrate court on Tues 5 Oct.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges relate the seizure of £35k worth of herbal cannabis and other times at a property in Keady last night (Fri 10 Sept).
