Robbery, Newry

Detectives in Newry, County Down, are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a fast food outlet in the Bridge Street area on Sunday 19 September.

At approximately 11.55pm, police received a report that three masked men had entered the premises.

One of the men was armed with a handgun and two were armed with knives. One of the men held a gun to a staff member's head and ordered him to empty a cash register.

The culprits then made off with an undisclosed sum of cash as well as a number of wallets and mobile phones. It is believed they may have made off in the direction of Glenvale Crescent.
