Searches and arrests in relation to disorder, Ballyclare

Police carried out a number of searches in the Ballyclare area on Thursday 4 August in connection with serious disorder in the town on July 9 and 10
Four males were arrested and a number of items were seized.
Breakdown of arrests-
A 26 year old male was arrested on suspicion of five counts of attempted murder, aggravated TADA, rioting, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, & other driving offences.
A 21 year old male was arrested on suspicion of rioting contrary to common law, going equipped to commit criminal damage & possession of an offensive weapon.
A 22 year old male was arrested on suspicion of riotous behaviour & possession of an offensive weapon for use in criminal damage.
A 55 year old male was arrested on suspicion of riotous assembly, possession of an offensive weapon, going equipped to commit criminal damage & criminal damage.
All four have been taken to Antrim police station for questioning.
The investigation into the violence in Ballyclare in July is ongoing and is progressing well.
