Charges following stabbing, west Belfast

A 25 year old man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He is expected to appear at Belfast Laganside Magistrates Court on the morning of Monday 14 February.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges relate to a stabbing incident on the Andersonstown Road, West Belfast, on the evening of Saturday 12 February.

A 25 year old male sustained serious stab wounds to his head and neck.
