Distraction burglary East Belfast

Detectives in East Belfast are appealing for information following a distraction type burglary at a house of elderly sisters in the Connsbrooke Ave area yesterday afternoon (Fri 25 March).
Around 4pm an unknown man called at the house and claimed to be there regarding their security. When the lady opened her door he pushed passed her and kept both ladies in the late eighties and late nineties talking in the sitting room. One of the lady’s became aware of another male in the house. Both men left after a short time.
It wasn’t until later in the evening that the lady realised her red coloured trolley bag containing a large sum of money, a post office savings book and some jewellery was missing.
