Theft - Northwest 200, Portrush

Police in Coleraine are appealing for information following a theft at the Northwest 200 pits area in Portrush on Friday evening 21 May.

At approximately 5.30pm, a black backpack bag belonging to a professional photographer was taken while it was set on the ground for a very short time. The bag contained the following items:

A Cannon E0S1D mk3 DSLR digital camera worth approx £3,000, a Cannon 300mm F2.8 lens worth approx £3,000, a Cannon 70-200 F2.8 zoom lens worth approx £1,200, a Cannon 16-35 F2.8 zoom lens worth approx £1,200, a Cannon 28-135 F3.5 zoom lens worth approx £450, a Cannon x2 lens extender worth approx £200, a Cannon flash gun model 55ex worth approx £350 and a purpose made back pack - model 'nature photo trek' (black in colour) worth approx £250. In total the equipment is estimated to be worth approximately £12,000.
