Hijacking, Belfast

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a hijacking in the Ventry Street area of Belfast city centre on Monday 4 January.
An man forced a female passenger from a silver Ford Focus after the male driver had exited the vehicle to run an errand at around 5.40pm.
Two other men then got into the car and the vehicle made off in the car along Great Victoria Street and onto Wellwood Street. A similar vehicle was later spotted driving erratically in the area of Lisvarna Street in west Belfast.
The male who drove off in the stolen car is described as in his early 20s around 5'7" tall of thin build and was wearing a light grey tracksuit with the hood of the jumper pulled up over a baseball cap.
Anyone who witnessed the hijacking or who has any other information relating to it is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
