E DISTRICT - Fatal road traffic incident, Fathom Line, Newry

Police in Newry are appealing for information after a report of a fatal road traffic incident at the Fathom Line, Newry yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 25th January).
Shortly before 1:50pm., it was reported that a car left the road and entered a nearby canal. Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue and Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
It is believed that the body of a man was recovered from the car. The man is believed to have been in his 60's. At the request of the family, no further details will be released regarding the deceased.
