Elderly lady shot with Pellet gun Crumlin Road

Detectives in Grosvenor Road PSNI are investigating an incident in which an 85 year old woman was struck on the head with a pellet as she emerged from a car to visit a relative at a local hospital on the Crumlin Road around 7pm last night (Sat 23 June). The woman received treatment for her injury which is not believed to be life threatening.
Police are aware there may have been other incidents of a similar nature over the last number of days and enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information about the attack on the elderly lady on the Crumlin road or any similar incident s is asked to contact detectives at Grosvenor Road on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
