Murder of Gerard Lawlor

Shortly after midnight on the morning of Monday 22 July 2002, Mr Gerard Lawlor, a 19 year old man was shot dead in Floral Road, a short distance from the junction with the Antrim Road. At the time of his death he was wearing a white top with dark blue hoops, along with a pair of Adidas tracksuit bottoms.  He had recently left the Bellevue Arms Public House and was on his way home.

You can assist this enquiry:

  1. If you were in the vicinity of Antrim Road / Floral Road between 11.30pm on Sunday 21 July 2002 and 00.30am on Monday 22 July 2002.
  2. If you were in the vicinity of the Whitewell Road area at the relevant times.
  3. If at any time that evening you saw or heard any persons or vehicles, including motorcycles, acting suspiciously.
  4. If you saw a small dark coloured motorcycle in the area.
  5. If you saw a white Toyota type vehicle in the area.
  6. If you saw a large dark coloured vehicle parked in the entrance to Belfast Zoo.
  7. If you have heard or know anything about the murder.
