Murder of Andrew Cully
24 Apr 2004
A Police Service of Northern Ireland, Major Inquiry Team, is currently investigating the murder of Andrew Cully.
On Wednesday 24 March 2004, at around 8.10pm, Andrew Cully, a 47 year-old builder from Greyabbey was shot and fatally injured in a car park to the rear of numbers 1-7 Beaufort Walk, in the West Winds, Newtownards, County Down.

At the time of this attack Mr Cully was driving a Peugeot 405, 4 door salon car, dark grey in colour, registration number OIW 3962.

It is believed that persons who murdered Mr Cully ran from the car parking area where the shooting took place, into an alleyway between number 13 and 15 Beaufort Walk where they got into a car and left the area. One of the suspected attackers who left the scene of the shooting did so on a bicycle and was seen to follow the car out of Beaufort Walk.

Mr Cully is last known to have been in the Millisle area around 7.15pm and his movements are then unknown until the report of his shooting at Beaufort Walk at around 8.10pm. It is not known at what time he arrived at the rear of Beaufort Walk.
A vehicle that may have been used in the murder was abandoned at Bristol Park, in the West Winds shortly after the murder occurred at about 8.10pm on Wednesday 24 March 2004.
The Murder Investigation Team still would like information in relation to the following: -
