Murder of Pauline Haveron in Ballyclare

Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch have launched a murder enquiry following the discovery of a woman’s body in Ballyclare, County Antrim.

Fifty-three years old Pauline Haveron was found dead in a house in the Huntingdale area on Sunday. She had been strangled.

Details of the death were only released proactively following the results of a post mortem examination and consultation with the victim’s family.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Doagh Road and Huntingdale between 10pm on Saturday 17 and 1pm on Sunday 18 April.  Anyone with information should contact police on 0845 600 8000.  Alternatively information on crime can be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
