Murder of Kenny Nicholl in Larne

Detectives from a PSNI Major Investigation team are investigating the murder of 29 years old Kenny Nicholl.

Kenny had been found dead in an alleyway at the back of Herbert Avenue in Larne at 8am on Sunday morning, November 2 2008. He had suffered stab wounds. Following a post mortem examination, police launched a murder enquiry.

Kenny worked locally in Ballylumford power station, and lived with his partner and young son. It is understood he had been socialising in Larne town on the Saturday evening before he was killed.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Roberts, appealed for the public's help.

"Police are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything in the Herbert Avenue and Lower Waterloo Road area of Larne between 10pm on Saturday night and 8am on Sunday morning or the immediate vicinity to come forward" said the detective.
