Detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch investigating the murder of Patricia Bardon in south Belfast are making an appeal for information.

They are trying to establish Patricia’s movements in the days before her death, and have released a photograph in an effort to do so.

Detective Chief Inspector John McVea, who is in charge of the investigation, said her murder was a terrible tragedy.

“Patricia was found dead on the day of her birthday. It was also the day she was due to be married."

Police officers found her body at her home in Elm Court south Belfast on Monday August 23. A man was arrested and remains in police custody.

“We want to know where Patricia was in the days leading up to her death. If you saw her or spoke to her anytime between Friday August 21 and Monday August 23, my investigation team would like to speak to you.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 02890 561804. Alternatively information on crime can be passed to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111,” said the detective.
