Armed robbery, Downpatrick Street, Crossgar

Police in Downpatrick are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Downpatrick Street, Crossgar

At approximately 7.45am on 27 July, two masked males, one of whom is believed to have a firearm in his possession, entered the shop. They made off with a sum of cash in a car which travelled at speed up Killyleagh Street before turning right.

One of the males is described as being in his late 20s, 5ft 6in to 7in tall, of stocky build and was wearing dark coloured track bottoms and a dark coloured, hooded rain coat.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, observed the men entering or making off from the shop or has any information in relation to this to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
