Armed robbery, Antrim Road, North Belfast

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an armed robbery at a bakery on the Antrim Road in Belfast on Saturday afternoon, 13 February.

At approximately 1.45pm a male armed with a knife entered the premises and stated that he wanted money from the till. He then proceeded behind the counter, opened the till and removed a small sum of cash.

It's believed the male made off from the bakery in the direction of Allworthy Avenue.

A female employee and a customer who were both present at the time were not injured but were left shaken by the experience.

The robber is described as being around 20 years old, 5ft 10in tall, of thin build and was wearing a green or blue hooded jumper with grey stripes. The male had the hood of the jumper pulled up.
