Armed robbery Newtownards Road Belfast

Detectives in Musgrave Street are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a Bistro type restaurant on the Upper Newtownards Road in the early hours of this morning (Fri 30 July).
Around 1:40am five staff members were in the front of the bar cleaning and stocking shelves when five to six masked men entered the premises armed with a handgun, a crowbar and a mallet. They threatened staff before locking them in an office and making off with the safe which is believed to have contained several thousands of pounds.
The robbers are all described as wearing track bottoms, shell suit tops, and trainers.
