Assault, Monagh Drive, West Belfast

Police in West Belfast are investigating an aggravated assault in the Monagh Drive area of Turf Lodge last night (Friday 19 February).
A male aged in his mid to late 30s sustained a serious arm injury - caused by a sword or machete - as a result of an altercation in the area at around 6pm. He was taken to hospital.
A total of seven males were arrested at Norglen Parade a short time later as a result of a police operation. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and a motive for the attack is yet to be established.
