C DISTRICT – Armed Robbery, Bloomfield Road South, North Down

Detectives in North Down are appealing for information after a report of an armed robbery at business premises at the Bloomfield Road South area on Monday, 23 January.
Shortly before 11:50am, it was reported that two men entered a shop in the area armed with a knife and a sledgehammer. It is believed that a quantity of money was taken during the incident. It is believed that the two men made off in a silver Vauxhall Zafira that was stolen at the scene. No one was injured during the incident, but a female shop assistant and a customer were left badly shaken during the incident.
A short time later, the vehicle was recovered at the Trinity Heights area, Bloomfield Road South.
