Cannabis and counterfeit cash charges, Armagh

A 22-year-old man and two 21-year-old men have been charged with charges including possession of a class 'B' drug, possession of a class 'B' drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of a class 'B' drug.

Two of the men have also been charged in connection with possession of counterfeit money.

They are expected to appear at Armagh Magistrates Court on Tuesday 30 March.

As is normal procedure, the charges are subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.

They relate to an incident on the evening of Wednesday 3 March, when officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland E District Crime Team seized a quantity of herbal cannabis and counterfeit cash as a result of a search of a car in the Friary Road area of Armagh .

A follow up search was carried out at an address in South Belfast with further quantities of herbal cannabis and suspected counterfeit cash seized. The herbal cannabis seized has an estimated street value of £2,000 while the suspected counterfeit cash came to a total of £1,820. The vehicle has also been seized by police.
