Theft of car and arrests, South Belfast

Two men were arrested following the theft of a car in South Belfast on Wednesday 3 June.
A Vauxhall car, which was believed to have been stolen, was located at 4.20am being driven at Essex Street, where it struck a police car before two male occupants made off on foot.
A short time later a male aged in his late teens and a male aged in his 20s were arrested at McClure Street and Cromwell Road.
Initial enquiries suggest that the Vauxhall was stolen from a house at Lower Ormeau in South Belfast in the early hours of Wednesday 3 June. A Ford Focus car was also stolen.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
