Suspicious object, South Belfast

A suspicious object discovered in the Cadogan Park / Lisburn Road of South Belfast at around 9.20pm on Sunday 8 August was examined by Army Technical Officers and declared a hoax shortly after midnight.
The remains of an object - described as a non-viable deliberate hoax object which had been made to look like a device - was removed for further examination.
Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
