Business Crime

Businesses and retailers of all sizes are at the heart of our community and our neighbourhoods. They provide critical services and much needed employment. Crimes against those businesses have a real impact on individuals (staff and consumers) and individual companies. They also damage the prosperity and wider perceptions of our communities, towns and cities.

Business Crime Partnership

The Police Service of Northern Ireland’s current approach to preventing and detecting business crime and supporting the business community is one of partnership working between law enforcement, government and business. Our strategic partnership working principally takes place within the forum of the Business Crime Partnership.

The Business Crime Partnership, consists of representatives from the Department of Justice, Northern Ireland Policing Board, the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the business community, and is responsible for taking forward actions relating to business crime.

We also have a dedicated business crime lead, Chief Superintendent Darrin Jones, who acts as focal point for ongoing engagement.
