Request
Request 1
Are your records manual or electronic?
Request 2
Other forces are complying as they have the specific markers of “suicidal” and “attempted suicide” with their custody records and although forces have different electronic systems, all systems collect similar information which is useful when doing audits etc. Is it possible to retrieve the data with just those terms and not mental health crisis?
To answer request 1, it would mean using the search terms in relation to their custody record, not their risk assessment as I have only asked the question relating to their custody record and not their risk assessment.
Clarification from Requester:
If you would like clarification of my request, I have removed the information which I thought would be beneficial for the FOI request, clearly it was not.
Request 1
How many people who are taken into custody are given a warning marker of “suicidal” or “attempted suicide” on their arrest record or have these markers on their crime record as recorded suspects, or already have these warning markers on their crime record at the time of arrest – I’d like the figures for 1st January to 31st December 2019, 1st January to 31st December 2020, 1st January to 31st December 2021, 1st January to 31st December 2022?
Just to clarify, this is suicidal before police intervention, not a result of police intervention.
Request 2
Following this – how many of these arrests resulted in charges? I’d like the figures from 1st January to 31st December 2019, 1st January to 31st December 2020, 1st January to 31st December 2021, 1st January to 31st December 2022?
