“Prior to joining the Police I attained a degree in Psychology and Criminology and then I worked a nine to five desk job. I quickly realised that this really wasn't for me.”

Why did you join the Police Service?
Prior to joining the Police I attained a degree in Psychology and Criminology and then I worked a nine to five desk job. I quickly realised that this really wasn't for me.

I wanted more diversity, a job where every single day is different.

What are you enjoying most about the Student Officer Training?
The training has been challenging, but you get to do things you wouldn’t normally do. No two days are the same and I’ve enjoyed the process so far.

What do you hope to achieve as a Police Officer?
Right now, I am not sure what I want to specialise in, but I am going to go out there and work in local policing and see how I find that.

I know there are so many challenging and interesting roles within the Police, so I am sure I’ll find something that is perfect for me!
