The purpose of the Police Service Northern Ireland is to Keep People Safe and build a more confident, safe and peaceful society.
Firearms and Explosives Branch will contribute to this purpose by providing an efficient and effective licensing process which ensures that the risk posed by lawfully held firearms, ammunition and explosives is managed so as to prevent foreseeable harm to individuals and communities.
Firearms and Explosives Branch (FEB) are the Chief Constables’ delegated authority to manage firearms licensing in line with the Firearms (NI) Order 2004.
