Police in south Belfast are appealing for information and witnesses after graffiti was daubed on a theatre premises.

Sergeant Rooney said: “Officers received a report that during the early hours of Friday morning, 8th March white graffiti had been sprayed on a window at the premises in the Shaftesbury Square area – causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

“The suspect is believed to be a man, aged in his early to mid-20s, and was wearing a dark flat cap, dark jacket and cargo trousers with a t-shirt underneath. He was with another man at the time of the report.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, particularly between 12.30am and 1am this morning, and noticed anything suspicious, to make contact with police.

“Anyone with information who may be able to assist with our investigation or has CCTV, dash-cam or mobile footage, can contact us on 101, quoting reference 1069 08/03/24.”
