Detectives are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery at a takeaway restaurant in east Belfast yesterday evening, Sunday 17th March.
 

Detective Sergeant McCartan said: “Police received a report that at approximately 10.50pm, a masked man believed to be armed with a hand gun, entered the shop in the Belmont Road area of the city and demanded that the staff hand over money.


“The staff called out for help and the man made off empty-handed.


“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or to anyone with CCTV or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 2202 of 17/03/24.”
