Police are investigating a report of assault of a man in Belfast city centre on Saturday night, 18th May. 

A man aged in his 20s had been walking from Bedford Street onto Howard Street some time between 10.45pm and 10.50pm. It was reported that he was approached by two men and, following some brief conversation, they began to assault him. The injured party recalls being struck several times, possibly to his head, and he fell to the ground. 

The man sustained injury to his head and nothing was stolen from him during the attack. 

Officers are investigating and would ask anyone with any information, dashcam footage or who may be able to help with police enquiries, to call them on 101 quoting 2109 18/05/24.
