Detectives investigating two burglaries and a robbery in Comber have appealed for information and witnesses.

Detective Sergeant Bell said: “It was reported shortly after 9.20am on Sunday, November 12 that sometime overnight, between 11.30pm and the time of report, that entry had been gained to a restaurant in the Killinchy Street area.

“A front door window was smashed and a sum of money was taken from the till.

“Police received a further report around 6.30am on Monday, November 13 of a burglary at a restaurant in The Square area. A glass panel in the front door had been smashed and a sum of money taken.

“We are keen to speak to a man and a woman who were in the area between 2-2.30am. The man is described as wearing a blue / black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and a black face covering.

“The woman is described as having long blonde hair and wearing a green knee-length coat, black bottoms and white trainers.

“The third report was received just after 9pm on Monday, November 13, when it was reported that a man had entered retail premises in The Square area, armed with a crowbar, before making off from the store on foot with two till drawers and their contents.

"He is believed to have made off in the direction of Parkway.

"Members of staff who were present at the time were thankfully, physically unharmed, but have been left shaken as a result.

"The suspect was described as being around six feet tall and wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a dark-coloured jacket and gloves.

“Our enquiries are ongoing in relation to all three reports, and I would encourage anyone who may be able to assist with our investigation to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1944 of 13/11/23.”
