Five Birthday Honours have been awarded to police officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
These prestigious honours include two MBEs and three Queen’s Police Medals (QPM). Chief Inspector Rory Hoy and Chair of the Police Federation Mark Lindsay have been awarded MBEs and Sergeant Clifford Campbell has been awarded a QPM for Services to Policing and the Community in Northern Ireland.
Two recipients have requested no publicity.
MBE
Chief Inspector Rory Hoy has been a police officer for 27 years. During this time he has worked tirelessly within the Fermanagh area building public confidence and trust within the local community.
Chief Inspector Hoy is regarded as a maritime policing specialist and was instrumental in the delivery of maritime policing for the G8 Summit.
MBE
Chair of the Police Federation for Northern Ireland Mark Lindsay has been a police officer for 34 years and Chair of the Police Federation since 2015.
During this time he has supported serving and retired police officers and their families and has built and developed many relationships across Northern Ireland.
QPM
Sergeant Clifford Campbell has been a police officer for almost 40 years.
Throughout his career he has been influential in enhancing relationships and building community confidence in policing.
