Five New Year Honours have come to policing in Northern Ireland.

Three Queen’s Police Medals (QPM), one Order of the British Empire (MBE) and one British Empire Medal (BEM) have been awarded.

The QPMs go to Detective Superintendent Daphne Duffy, Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy and one recipient has requested no publicity.

The MBE to Richard Greer and the BEM to Joan Clements.

QPM - Detective Superintendent Daphne Duffy

Detective Superintendent Daphne Duffy has been a police officer for over 30 years.

During this time, she has served in both uniform and detective roles. Her current position is within Crime Department.

QPM - Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy

Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy has been a police officer for over 30 years.

Serving predominantly in a detective role, he has been working in Crime Department and has worked on a number of high profile investigations.

MBE - Richard Greer

Richard has worked in policing for over 50 years and has held a variety of positions. Most recently, Richard has worked as a Forensic Case Manager.

BEM - Joan Clements

Joan has worked in policing for over 30 years. In her current role, Joan works as an Administrative Support Officer within Crime Department.
