Police are investigating a report of criminal damage at an apartment block in the Drumart Drive area of south Belfast on Thursday evening, 2nd November.

Superintendent Finola Dornan said: “A report was received at around 9.30pm that a number windows had been smashed at the apartment block a short time earlier.

“Officers attended the scene and it appears the windows had been smashed by someone armed with a hammer.

“Enquiries are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who was in the area on Thursday evening, and who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour, to contact 101 quoting reference number 1741 of 02/11/23.

“We are taking this incident very seriously and an increased policing presence will be in visible in the area in the coming days to provide necessary reassurance to the local community."
