Detectives from Bangor have arrested a man and seized a substantial quantity of suspected illegal drugs following a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act in the Holywood area on Friday 13th January.

A 28 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A & B drugs and possession of class A & B drugs with intent to supply after approximately £100k of suspected cocaine, a quantity of cannabis and other drugs related paraphernalia was recovered from a flat in the East Link area of the town. The man remains in custody at this time.

Detective Sergeant Shivers said: “As a result of today’s search a large quantity of suspected dangerous controlled drugs are now safely off our streets.
