Aggravated burglary - Witham Street, Belfast

Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an aggravated burglary at a house in the Witham Street area of Belfast last night, Thursday, 3 March.

Detectives Sergeant Conor Sweeney said: "Shortly after 7.00pm Police received a report that one woman and four men forced their way into a house. They were carrying what is believed to be either poles or sticks.

"Once inside the house they assaulted the female occupier and caused damage to the interior of the premises.

"It is believed the assailants left the scene in a small yellow car and a silver people carrier type vehicle.
The woman required treatment for minor injuries."
